Weather Policy

Players and Parents
we follow a weather policy that us set from USA Rugby. we are a sport that plays in the sun, rain, and snow. BUT if the weather becomes to extreme we have to make adjustments. This is so everyone knows the policy

1. Lightning: when a player or coach spots lightning, it is an automatic 20min period where the players must take shelter and wait. if another incident of lightning occurs in that 20 mins the clock resets.

2. Rain: so as long as the amount of rain will not damage our pitch by flooding we will have practices. very muddy areas on a field become easily damaged by cleats and the financial burden of those damaged falls on the club to fix. some venues we use will also not allow us to use the facilities
/park if a long period of rain has occurred or flood stages have been reached.

3. National Weather Center: the coaches will follow close to the impending weather reports. we have to place safety of all players and coaches 1st. if the weather reports severe weather coming into the area practice would then be cancelled based on that. If it ends up being a sunny day, we recommend an outdoor workout routine on your own in place

4. Notifications: coaches will cancel or practice a game with no less then 1 hour of the event. We try to wait it out until we can sometimes but we will normally let you know in advance by Team App, Facebook and Instagram. Team Captains will also tell players on their chat.

if there are any questions on the Weather Policy please ask a Coach
